New Terex Finlay 883+ becomes second addition for TW Frizell
TW Frizell (Haulage and Plant Hire) is ramping up productivity at its new recycling centre in Stoke-on-Trent after taking delivery of a second machine from Finlay Central Limited.
The new site has gone from strength-to-strength – and to meet demand TW Frizell – which has its headquarters in Crewe – has now increased its Terex Finlay fleet, with the purchase of a new Terex Finlay 883+.
The machine joins a new Terex Finlay J-1170 which TW Frizell purchased from Finlay Central – part of the Finlay Group of companies – just under six months ago.
Although both machines are based at the Stoke-on-Trent site, they are also available to hire for contract crushing and screening.
Founded in 1968 by Trevor William Frizell, and now run with the help of his son, Joe, and grandson, Jack, TW Frizell (Haulage and Plant Hire) has more than 70 employees and offers a range of services including bulk excavations, labour supply, demolition, site clearance and muck away, including tipping facilities.
Joe Frizell said: “The Terex Finlay 883+ boasts great versatility and is a quality machine that is ideal for the job.
“We also have reassurance from the excellent service and support package that Finlay Central offer.”
The material that is brought to the site is fed through the J-1170 and into the 883+ producing MOT, pipe bedding, filter media and topsoil.
With increased site efficiency gained from both machines working hand in hand, 95 percent of material brought to the centre is recycled and processed at a much greater speed.
The Terex Finlay 883+ has the capacity to process at a rate of up to 500 tonnes per hour and has been designed to work on its own or after a primary crusher.
Applications include quarrying, mining, topsoil, recycling, sand, coal and aggregates, as well as construction and demolition debris.
The plant features a modular configuration screen box with a 16’x5’ top deck and bottom deck screen, with optional features to permit tines or cassette frames to enable mesh fitting.
Track mounted to maximise onsite portability and ease of operation – it also has three hydraulic folding stockpilers to enable increased production.
Fitted with an abrasion resistant steel pan apron feeder, the Terex Finlay 883+ has a hopper capacity of 7m3.
Neil Partington, of Finlay Central, said: “It’s great to see such expansion and the Terex Finlay 883+ is a first-class addition to the fleet.
“It is enabling the customer to increase productivity of a finished sized aggregate.”
